Who's saying Hondar? Is it a pesky Brit?

Craig Scarborough does, and yeah, he's British. I've heard plenty of "muricans" say Hondar as well though, but yeah, mostly Brits..

Here (The US) it's really based off what accent it is. Most around me say Honda, but I've heard it other ways. It's mostly a British thing I wanna say.

I guess it is, and I guess it's more a sociolect than a dialect as well in the US..

Unless you're on Top Gear. In which case you'd probably like an Subaru Imprezar to go with your Hondar.

I'd LOVE my Honda to do an Impreza :P But that's neither here nor there.

Meh, Its like "Hatcshe" or "Zed" to me.

Hatsche? Don't quite get that one I'm afraid. Zed I get, I say Zed, so it won't get confused with Cee :)

I tried to do H phonetically..and failed. HD, for example is sometimes said Haitch Dee instead of 'Aitch as we in merica would say it.

Northeasters, particularly those around Boston will add 'R's out of thin air. But they're British/Irish descendants so probably that's why.

I say 'Aitch Dee, that's one of the things that reveals that I'm not British ;P

Indeed, and they do it in the weirdest places as well.
